Please Help-A Drunk Person Stole and Totaled My Car…

My car was taken without my permission (legally stolen) and totaled. Person was arrested and charged with DWI. Sad thing is; I know the person. I found my car was missing when I awoke; an entire 24 hrs later after trying to locate my car; I found out from the police; it was impounded to a lot and driver was in jail. I had no idea how bad it was OR if I could just go and pay the $700 and drive away. When I arrived; I found out it was TOTALED because I could see it behind a fence. I fell to the ground and went in to full blown anxiety. Which landed me in the ER for a day; suffering from High Blood Pressure and extreme cardiac heart rate.  

I had my car for years and was still paying on the note; on my way to paying it off and being proud of myself. But in one second; this person took one thing that was important from me. This was in Nov 2021. It’s now Jan 2022…. 

I have no car; no means to do things people take for granted. My finance company is holding me responsible for paying the life of the loan and was advised I go after the person who stole my car. 

The police dept is taking their time. Ive tried seeking a lawyer to assist. The person in question basically is going on with their life; while I’ve lost so much. Gap insurance robbed me as well. People may see this and say “get over it.” 

Now my landlord wishes to sell their condo. I have less than a month to move. No car; no secure home. How bad can things get. Family members DONT care and WONT help. But I’ve always given the shirt off my back and my last cent. I pray everyday; the storm passes. I don’t know what it feels like to not have. I’ve always been pretty independent with a home and vehicle. 

And my pride told me; never to make a go fund me. Cause no one would care about my story. It’s the crazy, nonsense stories that always raise money. Never ones that really need it. 

 Please help. I’ll will go buy a hoop ride off a lot. I just need some means of transportation so that I can get back and forth to work and be able to do things; normal ppl take for granted. HELP!!! https://gofund.me/f6de9484

The owners of this vacation property caused my friend's life a living hell.....

I would be skeptical to ever recommend this place to anyone. The owners are mean, cruel, and will stab you in the back if you vacation in their rentals and god forbids your child accidentally breaks something. They will demand outrageous amounts of money from you with out proof of item damaged. If you dont agree they will put out felony arrest warrants on you. This happened to a family i know who vacationed there and when i found out the mother was arrested in front of her kids traveling one day, i had to post this. These people always vacationed in Luray, Va... But never went through these people. It has been hell ever since.  So god forbids your child  breaks something... Accidents happen, they can be fixed, but to go after someone to that extent is low. You should never treat your customers this way. Fair is fair. To embezzle money from someone with out showing proof and if they dont pay, go to police and lie to have a felony warrant put out is the lowest ive ever heard in my life. In the end, my friend will be acquitted, but has to live with the scars of being arrested in front of the kids. A simple summons served by a sheriff would have been appropriate to her home if it was that serious. But to put out a warrant is way over the top.I took it upon my self to get this out and will not give up until these people realize they cant do this to others. I have decided to do this for my friend and her family doesnt know that we all are going to let this be known. Appalachian Adventures, Luray VA will never do this to anyone else.
